In Minneapolis on Tuesday, June 3, 1958, Dale took the day off work and wrote, “Painted Stan’s basement room. Didn’t do a very good job with the Monterey Red on the walls. Rain and cool. Dalene went over to visit Diana Schmitt after supper awhile. Stan went to class at the U after supper.” I was taking evening classes at the University of Minnesota while working full time.
