In Muscatine on Tuesday, January 8, 1952, Dale wrote, “Worked 8 to 4:30. Durkin called for report on Mead. I got a haircut. Went to store after work. Paid $2 to Grimm’s Drug for medicine. I got most of supper; pancakes & bacon & eggs.”
