In Muscatine on Sunday, March 16, 1952, Dale wrote, “Nice day. Dalene and Maryella went to A-Mus-U in the afternoon. Stan rode his bike.” Maryella was a friend of Dalene’s. The A-Muse-U Theater at 103 Sycamore Street had one screen and 528 seats. We used to go there for a double feature with a cartoon, for ten cents.
