Rose Bowl In NC?
On Thursday, January 1, 1942, Dale worked all day as Gauger at George Benz Bottling Works in St. Paul. The Rose Bowl was played in Durham, North Carolina, due to fears of a Japanese attack on the west coast following the attack on Pearl Harbor three weeks earlier. The Oregon State Beavers defeated the host Duke Blue Devils 20-16. Happy New Year!
